Hello Everyone!

More Monday Questions for You:

I recently read a story about “frienemies,” a person who is a friend but yet at the same time an adversary.

So know you’re thinking, “Huh?”

Apparently we’re now accepting that some friends are untrustworthy yet still worth having a relationship with. Maybe they’re overly-competitive, a little too nosey or opinionated. Still, there’s enough good things that make up for this.

I have to be frank. I don’t buy this concept for one second. A friend is the person you can talk to about the competitive co-worker, or jealous family member. Am I the only one out there?

I think there is a difference between friends that have their limit and frenemies. And this is an important distinction. Some friends are more generous with their time and their listening skills. Others are a little more self-absorbed, and that’s okay. We all have times of self-absorption, and depending upon our work load and responsibilities at home, we may not have a lot of time to devote to nurturing our friendships. But throughout this, a true friend will re-connect as soon as they can.

Any experiences with frienemy? Let’s share what happens, and how we can either improve these relationships, or not let them get to us.
