Have you been feeling angry lately? If so, you’re not alone. Anger is one of the most common emotions. It may surprise you to know that anger is what we call a “superficial” emotion; it’s the emotion that stays on the top and is most often displayed, but usually, there’s a much deeper emotion that underlies anger and that is hurt. Usually, when you are angry, it’s because you have somehow been hurt. So if you’re feeling angry, try to spend a little time thinking about what is hurting you. Then think about what you’d like to see change so that you are not hurting. Ask for these changes, talk to your spouse about what you’d like to see change so that you can feel better.
