Hi Tabstar777, I no what depression is like, ive had it for 5 years now and ive gone through the whole cutting yourself thing, to be honest, whats the point in it? Before i do it, i think, do i really want horrible scars on me forever? It gives you 2 minutes of relief, not even that most of the time, try and stop if you can, i have. I know going to see a counsiller is scary and it can be ebarassing and nerve racking to go to one, but it might be worth it, they will try and help you as much as they can. It sounds like you need to start talking to more people about whats going on with you. Do you know what i found helps a little, writing everything down…how your feeling…whats happening…every bad thought that you have…write it all down…read it again and either put it somewhere safe or throw it away. If you need anyone to chat to, im here :) xxx |

Hi Tabstar and Stace. Thanks for your notes. It can be really scary to think of going to a counselor, so know that a lot of people (maybe most people!) feel the same way. However, when you’re feeling really low, it’s an important time to reach out to professionals who can help. We’re trained to be nonjudgmental and most of us really love the people we’re taking care of. So, if you were going to go and talk to someone, what would you feel comfortable sharing on your first visit? |
